The healthiest plant stock is
our primary priority when choosing our nursery partners.
All of our plants are tagged with all the necessary information
you need once you get the plant home. We suggest writing
the date of purchase on your tag with a sharpie and create
a tag library. You might want to post this in your garden
journal available in our bookstore. These are wonderful reminders
of your years in your garden
Locally grown, our annual selections
include the plants you expect such as pansies, impatiens,
mums and petunias as well as different and exotic annuals.
Lake Norman Gardens is one of the first garden centers
in the area to carry Hort Couture Flowering
Annuals. You
will probably think you are at the flower market in
the Madeline Square, Paris as you enjoy the exquisite
annuals such as Lobelia magdi blue, Ranunculus bloomingdale
hybrid or Angelonia angelina pink that are available
at Lake Norman Gardens. We prefer to offer our annuals
to you before they are at the height of bloom, so that
you can plant them accordingly and have as long a period
of enjoyment as possible. We have annuals that work
in your shade gardens or your sunny borders.
Our hanging baskets are also ever changing with the seasons.
In the fall we will create baskets with pansies, ornamental
kales and grasses and just in time for those first days
of spring we will have a wonderful assortment of baskets
with Geraniums, Begonia and other warm weather plants.
We always have ferns and ivy in baskets. Remember we
can customize your own baskets and containers from our
large selection of plants or pick out your container
from our selection and we will plant it for you. |

Lamb never tasted so good as when the marinade came from your very own Rosemary hedge or soups made with a Bouquet Garni stuffed with Thyme, sage, parsely and other wonderful herbs grown in your kitchen garden. Whether you have a small container garden of herbs or a plot just for your herbs, Lake Norman Gardens has a variety of herbs for your culinary pleasure. Among the herbs we carry are Basil, Bay Laurel, Chives, Cilantro, Dill, Mint, Lavender, Oregano, Italian Parsley, Rosemary, Sage, Tarragon and Thyme. |

Perennials, including Ferns, Grasses,
Vines and Ground Covers abound at Lake Norman Gardens. From
Artemisia to Veronica and all the possibilities in between
we have a large selection of both shade and full sun Perennials.
The surprise in late winter, early spring when the Hellebores
and Narcissus begin to bloom is the ultimate reason to have
a garden filled with Perennials. We are delighted each month
as our flower friends never cease to show off new blooms,
fronds or creep delicately over a pathway. We also carry Stepables,
Riverbend Nursery
Perennials, Monrovia,
and Van Bloem Bulbs.
Most of our perennials are in one to two gallon containers; however, we also carry many quart sizes. We encourage the planting of perennials in the spring or fall and with regular fertilizing and root stimulation at planting you can enjoy your plants for a lifetime. |

Hardwoods, Evergreens, Broadleaf Evergreens, ornamental trees and shrubs are represented in a wide variety at Lake Norman Gardens. Southern favorites such as Magnolia, Crape Myrtle and Hydrangea are plentiful at the gardens. Healthy Conifers grown in the perfect Oregon climate create a wonderful foundation for a landscape while Encore Azaleas let you rest assured you have the best plants available. The majority of our Trees and Shrubs are container grown; however, we do have available some ball and burlap stock. |

Orchids, African Violets, Pothos, Cacti or whatever you are dreaming of are located in our Potting Department. Terrariums with velvety mosses and miniature landscapes are available to take home. And whether you supply the container or select one from our huge selection of planters, window boxes and pottery we can create unique containers that incorporate annuals, perennials and even shrubs. |
