2. Prune overgrown shrubs and
trees. Clean up Perennial beds. Do not prune spring
flowering trees and shrubs until after they flower.
Inquire about our Winter Cleanup and Selective Pruning
Service.
3. Apply pre-emergent
weed control for the lawn from now until the Forsythia
blooms.
4. Fertilize all
trees, shrubs and perennials.
5. Start plants
indoors from seed. Most vegetables can be planted 4 to
10 weeks outdoors after seeding. Outdoor transplanting
depends on the weather.
6.
After this season’s icy winter, make certain to remove
all de-icers (Calcium Chloride) that may still be on sidewalks
and drives which can be damaging to plant material.
7. Clean out and put up nesting
boxes for the birds. By March 1st, male Bluebirds are scouting
for their nest. Put up Hummingbird feeders by March 31st.
