as a lawn and garden center in 2005 with our primary focus
on bulk products and over the last three years we have continued
to evolve becoming the Perth Road Community’s one stop
for all things one needs to create inspiring outdoor rooms.

The staff at Lake Norman Gardens

your outdoor spaces and, as your partner, to educate
and recommend premier plant materials, outdoor furnishings,
fountains and other garden décor as well as
qualified professionals to install your projects, We
have alliances with the top professionals in the garden
and landscape industry to facilitate the creation of
your outdoor rooms. We also have a qualified in house
design team to assist in your choice of the many outdoor
furniture lines we carry, customized with your choice
of weather resistant fabrics. At Lake Norman Gardens,
our single most important objective is your experience
and that it be more than you intended. |

Owner and director Robbi Grayson,
along with her parents LaVerne and Odell Stamey are the inspiration
behind Lake Norman Gardens. Originally, the unsightly four
acres were home to a tavern and a dump site. Mr. Stamey began
the clean up of the property in the early 2000s, and then
built the existing building in 2005 and established the lawn
and garden business.
After selling a successful business in 2002, Robbi, an
avid gardener and passionate creator of many beautiful
gardens, came home to the Lake Norman area to take the
helm of Lake Norman Gardens. In her past she had the pleasure
of creating a garden that was on the Charlotte Mint Museum
of Gardens tour, creating a tropical garden in the Florida
Keys and even tended a wonderful garden for a month in
the south of France, just to name a few of her experiences.
She served on the board of the Charlotte Botanical Society,
which is today RibbonWalk Urban Forest, a 192 acre natural
woodland which is now under the direction of Mecklenburg
Parks and Recreation. Robbi studied interior design from
the Art Institute of Pittsburg and is currently working
on her North Carolina Certified Plant Professional designation. |

While we offer all the things you would
come to expect of a Premier Garden Center such as garden
hardware, pest control and nutrients, superb plants, trees,
seeds and bulbs, we also have other departments to expand
your outdoor living experience. We have a garden bookstore,
a birding department, a wonderful garden apparel department
and an incredible potting and container department. Our outdoor
furniture is not only weather proof, but right off the pages
of the latest design magazines. We help you create that relaxing
space to enjoy your garden. Our garden inspired giftware
is perfect for any occasion and of course we offer gift certificates
for the special gardener in your life. We are
the area’s largest source
for bulk mulch, aggregates, pine needles and rock.
Our hours of operation are Monday
through Friday 9:00am until 6:00pm, Saturdays 9:00am
until 5:00pm and Sundays 1:00 pm until 5:00pm. Delivery
is available with minimum requirements and a delivery
fee. |
